The 2024 Montana Democratic presidential primary took place on June 4, 2024, as part of the Democratic Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. 25 delegates to the Democratic National Convention will be allocated to presidential candidates.[1]
Incumbent President Joe Biden announced on April 25, 2023, his bid for a second term.[2] Biden won the primary.
Candidates
Only one candidate filed for the primary election ballot:[3]
Additionally, voters have an option to vote for "No preference." The organization 'Montanans for Palestine' has actively encouraged "no preference" as a protest vote against US policy on the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.[4]
