Straw, County Londonderry

54°47′02″N 6°48′25″W / 54.784°N 6.807°W / 54.784; -6.807 Straw (from Irish Srath 'wide valley'[1][2]) is a small village and townland in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 57.[3] It is situated within Mid-Ulster District approximately one mile south-west of Draperstown.
The local church is St. Columba's Catholic Church[4] and the local school is St. Columba's Primary School.[5]
