Sysłów

50°24′26″N 17°48′24″E / 50.40722°N 17.80667°E / 50.40722; 17.80667Sysłów [ˈsɨswuf], German Syßlau is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Głogówek (Gemeinde Oberglogau), within Prudnik County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech border.[1] It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Głogówek (Oberglogau), 19 km (12 mi) north-east of Prudnik, and 31 km (19 mi) south of the regional capital Opole. Historically located in Upper Silesia, in the Prudnik Land.
Since 2009 the village, like much of the surrounding area, has been officially bilingual in German and Polish.[2]
