Poetry for the Poisoned on power metal -yhtye Kamelotin yhdeksäs studioalbumi. Se julkaistiin earMUSIC-levymerkillä, (Edelin alamerkki),[3] 10. syyskuuta 2010 Euroopassa ja neljä päivää myöhemmin Pohjois-Amerikassa yhtyeen oman levy-yhtiön KMG Recordingsin toimesta yhdessä Knife Fight Median kanssa.[4]
Se on viimeinen Kamelot-albumi pitkäaikaisen laulajan ja lauluntekijän Roy Khanin kanssa, joka jätti yhtyeen vuonna 2011, ja ensimmäinen alkuperäisen basistin Sean Tibbettsin kanssa, joka jätti yhtyyen vuonna 1992 ennen ensimmäisen levyn julkaisua ja palasi vuonna 2009, 17 vuoden jälkeen.
Kappaleesta "The Great Pandemonium" nauhoitettiin video, joka julkaistiin yhtyeen virallisella YouTube-kanavalla 6. syyskuuta 2010.[5]

Rajoitettu kiertueversio
Vuonna 2011 uudelleenjulkaisu Poetry for the Poisoned nimeltään Poetry for the Poisoned &; Live From Wacken: Limited Tour Edition julkaistiin 15. huhtikuuta Euroopassa ja 10. toukokuuta Yhdysvalloissa. Albumi julkaistiin tuplalevynä, jonka ensimmäinen levy sisälsi Poetry for the Poisonedin, kuten aiemmin, ja toinen levy sisälsi 8 livekappaletta keikalta Wacken Open Air 2010 -tapahtumassa.
