Dunstan (909 – 19. maj 988)[2] je bio opat Glastonburyja, biskup Worcestera, biskup Londona i nadbiskup Canterburyja, kasnije kanoniziran kao svetac.[3] Poznat je po tome što je obnovio monaštvo u Engleskoj i reformirao tadašnju Crkvu. Osbern, umjetnik i pisar koji je u 11. vijeku napisao njegovu biografiju, tvrdi kako je Dunstan bio vješt "u stvaranju pisama i drugih slika".[4]
Dunstan je kao državni ministar služio nekolicini kršćanskih kraljeva. Dva vijeka je bio jedan od najpopularnijih svetaca.
