Philip Jenkins (Port Talbot, 3. 4. 1952. – ), velško-američki historičar, autor i profesor. Studirao je anglosaksonsku, keltsku i skandinavsku historiju na Koledžu Clare pri Univerzitetu u Cambridgeu i 1974. stekao titulu prvostupnika (B.A.), a četiri godine kasnije i magistra (M.A.) odnosno doktora (Ph.D.). Akademsku karijeru ostvario je kao profesor historije i religiologije na Državnom univerzitetu u Pennsylvaniji i Univerzitetu Baylor. Jenkins potpisuje 25 monografija, preko 120 poglavlja knjiga, te na desetine stručnih članaka. Knjige su mu prevedene na kineski, nizozemski, estonski, njemački, italijanski, japanski, korejski, poljski, portugalski, rumunski, srpskohrvatski i španski jezik.
